Smelling manners

Today a guy with one of those long shaped drums walked onto the train, and said…
“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here today to put on a show for you. But first, there’s something we need to talk about – manners.”
(Silence)
“Now, you’d be wondering whats there to talk about manners, but I assure you there is lots to talk.”
“Why is it that we all sit down next to each other with our elbows and feet crossed, and never talk to one another?”
“I mean, if you look at other animals, like rats, when they all come together, they have a party! They start squeaking, smelling each other, licking, saying – Hi yo’all. They seem to have more manners than we do!”
“So today I’m going to dedicate this song to manners. Now, you all know this song, it goes something like this… dum-tudutudu, dum-tudutudu. In the – oh wait, I didnt start that right. Ok lets start again…”

New York is a lot of trash

On my way back from the fire performances at John’s party, I met a tourist/homeless looking person (i dont know why backpackers seem to look homeless, i wonder if I also seem that way). He was from Germany, visiting New York, taking pictures of art exhibitions et al. I asked him what he thought of New York…

Man: New York, umm… here there is a lot of trash.

Me: What do you mean – trash?

Man: I get take out – they give me 5 different boxes. I dont want 5 boxes, just one. I go to put garbage, there is no recycle bin. In Germany, they have different boxes for glass, metal, paper. Here – nothing.
