Images of the unconscious

“The images of the unconscious place a great responsibility upon a man.  Failure to understand them, or a shirking of ethical responsibility, deprives him of his wholeness and imposes a painful fragmentariness on his life.”  - C.G. Jung

This made me think of the past couple of months of incoherence in my life. I usually tend to shy away from ethics, considering morality to be a hypocritical sin rather than a life improving virtue. But then, you cannot really run away from the “images of your unconscious”, since they keep cropping up whenever you make a choice. And if you try to ignore them too much, the choices you make tend to become incoherent fragments that just dont make any sense!
